Countdown: 10 days til institute

Wow its been a while.

So last time I wrote I had interviewed during the first round. Unfortunately I wasn’t placed. Not because I wasn’t qualified but because TFA apparently told the principals who wanted to hire me “no”. Instead TFA wants to place me in south eastern NC into a school that has never had TFA corps member before. Sounds awesome, but a little more intimidating considering I’ll kinda be kick-starting the program there if hired. Anyways, they had me interview with two schools near clinton NC a couple weeks ago and I love them both equally. Starting in 3 days they will be making calls telling people if/where they were placed during 2nd round interviews. My fingers are crossed :)

In the mean time though I have a graduation party to plan for tomorrow, memorial day festivities, and a slew of family time/hangouts with friends before the big move. I am starting to get really excited/nervous/sad. Maryland is all I know, but it will be an amazing experience.

Alright time to gym it up then FINALLY start my pre-institute work packet…. whoopsies. Looks like I have a lot to do.

And I thought orgo was hard…
